Since 1990 we have stood as the most comprehensive Investigative agency in the Minnesota - Wisconsin area.
Home base is Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Knight Hawk Investigations handles all common services for which a
Professional investigator is known in both criminal and civil arenas.
It is Bureau of Technical Services division that is a catalyst opening the investigative door to the exact sciences.
Our lab is equipped for forensic scientific investigation and evidence processing. (see videos and documents below).
Technical surveillance countermeasures (debugging)
Environmental testing: atmospheric , toxic chemicals (ie: drug labs), radiation, EMF, Sound level, lighting.
Accident reconstruction and animation .
Custom made equipment to enable 'impossible' evidence gathering
Scientific reconstruction and testing to discover if the tesimony matches reality
Forensic metadata extraction from digital platforms.
Peer review of the work done by others including law enforcement technicians.
All and more in a number of scientific fields:
Electronics and mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, physics, criminalistics, crime scene review
And regarding the search for evidence below? Metal detectors and ground penetrating radar.
With the number of variables we have in house, it is left only to the imagination for the best way to build your case.

Optics Lab
More than one person in the truck suggests any one could have been in the passanger front.
We were asked to discover if the person in the passenger's might not have been the intended. So, could the shooter see who was the passanger before the shots were fired?
Establish reflection percentage of the 95% tinted glass by source and sensor reading.
Establishing the internal level measured matches the 5 % manufacturer specs. The internal lighting was simulated using an adjustable light panel overhead.

Optics Lab Results
Orientation matching sun's direction and intensity sets the scene. Monitoring the discovered intensity creates the systematic double of the incident. Eyes can get an average result but different people have different capabiltes. So the math has to be done.
NOAA Sourcing Sun data to get the light reference for the date , tme and direction of the sun.
O
The light reflected off the interior comes back through the tint and has to be greater than the threshold level of the average sensitivity.

Analysis using satellite & ground pictures
7 months later. Google Earth showed tracks that were still seen from the satellite . Allowing less reliance on the photos.
Two-Car-Headon
The van pushed backwards. Catching the trucks right headlight past right midway of the van's grill. This pushed both to the truck's left into grass.
Notice the brooms next to the pile. The scene was cleaned before the scene documentation was done. no date time stamp.
Van pushed back to a crab slide until tires grabbed rolling across.

Training and Testing
Discovery shows key points in the timeline which we built in to the test.
Pedestrian-Animation
The physics of the situation left too many questions, not if it could be done, rather does the sequence end with the same results.
Five test runs were performed with a paint ball hanging from the rack at the correct height to hit the same place on the windshield where the victim head hit. Landing in the same place,on the road sliding the same distance
The victim in our test was built to the same size and weight and hit the car in precisely the same place and the same speed.
Pedestrian Reeactment
Even with situations that seem obvious, sometimes the results could be surprising . A simple test of the footpounds could find if gravity works with the movement and is able to fall off the table when an accidental firing happens.
Rifle-Recoil
An injury from a jammed rototiller might pop up and drag the operator into the machine. How much force would that take? At what angle would it fall forward.

Practically Murder
Proving Camera Location
Accuser reports to have found a camera hidden at one location but the angle on the recording proves that wrong.

Timing Coincidence
Active elements documented by the clock, come together from different places to show who was a witness. Proving one denier as holding back or that another may not have had time to get there.

Wristcam
In 1994 the first video camera in a wristwatch invented by Bureau Of Technical Services. Later there were cameras appearing in pagers, ball caps, and glasses. But no one else figured out how we did the watch.
